Sean Ellis

As a portfolio operations professional, Sean focuses on value creation efforts at Point 41 and its individual portfolio companies. Prior to Point41, Sean worked as an independent operating advisor supporting multiple funds with exit readiness and value creation.

Sean started his career in private equity as director at ORIX Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity fund. At OCP, Sean worked closely with portfolio company executives to develop and execute multi-year strategic plans. Sean also triaged operational issues, including process improvements, liquidity management, new service offerings, and technology solutions.

Before his career in private equity, Sean worked on large-scale organizational transformations to enhance customer experience. Sean also worked as a consultant at RSM, supporting private equity firms on due diligence matters and carve-out execution. Sean started his career at Staples, serving in multiple operational and finance roles.

Sean has an MBA from the University of Chicago (Booth) and completed his undergraduate degree at Syracuse University, where he was also a Division I swimmer.
